- This is Aimee’s first Golden Globes nomination.
The White Lotus cast is once again on the red carpet to collect all their awards, and Aimee Lou Wood showed up looking incredible/like a goth Disney princess in a black ballgown from Vivienne Westwood and David Yurman jewels.
Aimee is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work on The White Lotus, and she’s nominated alongside her costars Carrie Coon and Parker Posey, as well as Erin Doherty for Adolescence, Catherine O'Hara for The Studio, and Hannah Einbinder for Hacks.
“The show was a complete hyperfixation of mine, and it was all I would talk about,” Aimee told The Hollywood Reporter. “And then, on season 2, Will Sharpe turned up, and I know him and I thought, Maybe I could be in this? And then I was like, Actually, I don’t want to do it. It puts so much pressure on me. I really tried to trick myself out of [sending an audition] self-tape.”
Aimee ended up auditioning and booked the role of Chelsea, saying she found out at the pub with friends: “I started screaming, so it was very obvious that something had happened. And then, of course, I told the waiter, so the bar put on the bloody theme song for everyone to dance to.”
